White Wines The cool, foggy climate of Russian River Valley creates the long growing season perfect for cultivating world-class Chardonnay as well as Pinot Gris of bright fruit expression. The great diversity of our well-draining soils allows us to source each white wine varietal from the precise conditions it likes best. The results are clean, crisp wines of great complexity that pair beautifully with food.

We carefully monitor each vineyard block and harvest the fruit when it reaches the optimum balance between fruit characters and acidity. Careful hand-sorting ensures that only the most pristine grapes move on to whole-cluster pressing in our Coquard presses. These uniquely gentle presses - the only modern working Coquard presses outside of France - minimize the extraction of harsh components from grape skins.

Our white wines are fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. Depending on wine varietal and vintage conditions, a portion of each white wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel, adding rich complexity and depth to the finished wine.
