Robert Thomas Vineyard

Robert Thomas Vineyard

Located at the “elbow” of the Russian River, where it turns before it heads west to the Pacific Ocean, this 47-acre vineyard on Westside Road is comprised of multiple layers of alluvial gravel/clay/loam soil primarily identified as Zamora. Broken into three blocks of Pinot Noir and featuring seven clones, the Robert Thomas Vineyard is by far the coolest of all our producing vineyards. During the summer growing season, a thick coastal fog hangs close to the ground, usually burning off by mid-day. This weather pattern provides a long fruit hang-time and grapes of extraordinary flavor. The vineyard is named after Judy Jordan’s son.
